This is a wonderful time of the year, especially when the Phelps Memorial Health Center Service League starts planning for the holidays. This year, two events highlight the season, beginning with the annual Service League Bake Sale on Saturday, Dec. 5, starting at 9 a.m. in the Phelps Memorial West Lobby, 1220 Miller Street, Holdrege.

Join the volunteers of the Service League for the nicely decorated, tasty foods and the best prices at any bake sale. There is also a Complimentary Tea Table in the PMHC Cafeteria, so you can reunite with friends and enjoy coffee and a treat.

The second event is the Service League Tour of Homes to be held Sunday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 6 p.m. The volunteers with the Service League have lined up six wonderful Holdrege homes whose hostesses and hosts are busy decorating for the tours. The homes included in the tour this year are those belonging to Michelle and Scott Ehresman, Beth and Brad Larson, Michelle and Robert McCormick, Kimberly and Dan Powers and Shelly and Loren Schroder. The addresses of each home are on the tickets. You may tour the homes in any order during the four hour period from 2 to 6 pm. Co-Chairmen of the Home Tour are Marietta Dreiling and Stacia Milius. The Service League sponsors the area home tour every other year in early December.

Tickets can be purchased now at Phelps Memorial Health Center East Lobby or from the Public Relations office, also around the area at the First National Bank, TierOne Bank, Nebraska Museum, Holdrege Area Chamber of Commerce, and the First State Bank, Loomis. $10 each.

These Service League fund raising events are to donate funds to Phelps Memorial Health Center for necessary medical equipment. Everyone is welcome at both events.
