Phelps Memorial Health Center is pleased to announce that Barb Ties has been hired as the Director of Quality and Safety Officer.
Barb is responsible for the management of the Quality Department and assists in the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of effective, evidence-based performance improvement processes for accreditation and regulatory compliance at Phelps Memorial Health Center. She is also the Safety Officer and responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and initiatives within the organization.
Barb said, “I have a passion for education and working with fellow teammates at Phelps Memorial to understand the “why” behind the processes that drive quality and safety.”
She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Distribution from the University of Nebraska, Kearney, and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Nebraska Methodist College. She has over 16 years of experience in the healthcare field.
My focus as the Quality Director will be to develop a culture of quality and safety which ultimately will empower our team to provide the best experience and environment for patients.
She added, “My role at Phelps Memorial is to focus on quality, patient satisfaction and DNV readiness.”
