During National EMS week we want to give our team and all EMS volunteers a heartfelt thank you for all the work they do in the moments that matter most. EMS answers the call day or night, in all kinds of weather and under all kinds of conditions. They see people at their worst and work to give them life-saving care before transferring to other medical professionals.
The Phelps Memorial Emergency Services team had 500 total runs last year, which included 19 mutual aid calls with outside agencies. Our Phelps Memorial EMS team not only responds to emergent situations, but also provides care during patient transfers to other facilities and assists hospital staff with patient care on the inpatient floor as needed.
Thank you for your time, your care, your compassion, and your devotion to patient care. We know that everyone who works in EMS puts in long hours and sleepless nights taking care of the needs of our community.
Thank you for taking time away from your families to respond to community needs around the clock and for comforting families when they need you.
