Phelps Medical Group would like to recognize Dr. Charlotte Wirges for her 32 years of service to the community of Holdrege, as she prepares to step back from patient care to spend more time with her family.
“I’m happy, healthy and ready to see what chapters come next in my life,” Dr. Wirges said. “I feel like our hospital, nursing, and ancillary teams here in Holdrege are the best in the state. The team at Phelps Medical Group is highly capable, and I am comfortable with transitioning care to any of our providers.”
Phelps Medical Group’s provider line-up includes Zach Egger, D.O.; Danika Peterson, M.D.; Michelle Hunter, APRN; and Russell Carlston, DPM. Katie Luthy, P.A.-C., will be seeing patients at Phelps Medical Group beginning May 2021.
“We’re thankful to have had Dr. Wirges on our team for the past few years, and would like to commend her for her dedication of service to her patients, and the members of this community for the past three decades,” said Mark Harrel, CEO at Phelps Memorial Health Center. “It’s been a pleasure to work with Dr. Wirges, and we wish her the best.”
Dr. Wirges’ last day in the clinic will be April 15, 2021. Phelps Medical Group is hosting an appreciation event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at JB’s Sports Bar & Grill in Holdrege that evening. Attendees are encouraged to wear a mask and attend the come-and-go reception for a brief visit. The Phelps Medical Group Facebook page will stream the event live, so people can attend virtually. There will be strict enforcement of room occupancy limits and any other COVID-19 restrictions deemed necessary at that time.
