The PMHC Health Summer Nurse Internship program is an opportunity for future RNs to get invaluable hands-on experience under the guidance of a nurse preceptor. Participants will not only expand theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, but also earn market-leading competitive pay. The Student extern is under the supervision of the Preceptor Nurse. Based on the needs of the department, responsibilities are a combination of providing direct patient care and technical assistance to the nurse and performing a variety of computer, clerical, scheduling, and supply functions as necessary for the operation of the unit. FT, nights 3-12hr shifts 15% shift diff, & every 3rd weekend rotation
Under the supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech is cross-trained in the role of Unit Secretary and Nursing Assistant. The Licensed Practical Nurse manages, organizes and administers nursing care for patients of all ages under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.
FT, Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays
The Surgical Aide works under the direction of the Surgical Services Leader and/or Supervisor/Charge Nurse to assist the peri-operative team. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.
Full-time, Exempt, Call rotation
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) administers anesthesia, monitors patient’s vital signs, and oversees patient recovery from anesthesia. Assists with anesthesia-related medical and emergency situations such as airway maintenance and pulmonary ventilation. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies and Medical Staff rules and regulations is a condition of employment.
FT Non or Certified Mon-Friday call every 6th weekend & 4-5 days per month
The Non-Certified Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. The CST ensures that the operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure, monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies, and cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. The Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP) administers cardiopulmonary care to patients of all ages with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. The Echo/Vascular Technologist operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for patients of all ages for diagnosis and treatment. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.
PT 18 hrs a week, Monday-Thursday, no weekends or holidays
The Exercise Physiologist, RN, LPN, RT or other qualified applies physical activity and behavioral interventions in clinical situations to provide therapeutic or functional benefit to cardiac rehabilitation patients. The role integrates the roles of clinician, teacher, consultant and researcher to administer care to patients of all ages. FT day shift (hours varied from 5am-4pm), every 3rd weekend & rotating holidays
The Cook follows menus, recipes and diet orders to prepare, season, cook and serve meals appropriate for all age categories and groups of patients, visitors, staff and catered events of PMHC. FT Monday-Friday 4:30pm-1:00am,15% shift diff, (no weekends or major holidays)
The Environmental Services Technician I cleans onsite and offsite hospital areas and ensures there is an ample supply of clean linen for patient and facility use. FT 40hrs 15% shift diff, Monday, Friday 2p-10:30p /Tue,Wed,Thursday 5:00p-1:30a (no weekends or major holidays)
The Environmental Services Technician II cleans onsite and offsite hospital areas, ensures there is an ample supply of clean linen for patient and facility use, and keeps floors of hallways, rooms and departments throughout the facility and outside windows and traffic areas in clean and well kept condition. Computer support specialists provide help and advice to employees within Phelps Memorial Health Center. Computer support specialists, assist non-IT users who are having computer problems and support employees with their day-to-day issues. They provide primarily in-house support and service Phelps Memorial Health Center issued equipment.
