A baby boy weighing seven pounds and two ounces was the first newborn delivered at Phelps Memorial Health Center in 2024.
David Michael Harbour was born at 3:32 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
David’s parents, Samantha Moulton and Lucas Harbour of Stamford were surprised he was the first born at Phelps Memorial.
“He was a little earlier than his due date,” said Lucas, as David slept soundly.
David is Samantha and Lucas’s fourth child. He has three older sisters Artemis, 1 ½, and twins Lilly, 2 ½, and the late Azalea. According to his parents, his first name is named in honor of a grandfather and his middle name, Michael, is a family tradition.
Baby David was delivered by Jeff Berney, M.D.
The family was showered with gifts for being the first baby of the year in a promotion from the Holdrege Area Chamber of Commerce. They received gifts from area businesses ranging from diapers and gift cards to gifts to pamper the mother. They also received a stroller from the Phelps Memorial Service League.
